TOP 100 RUSSIAN RETAIL is a Russian rating list of retail companies operating in the Russian market. It is based on results of 2008.

For the first time, the ratings were based upon results of activity of shops in 1997. At present time, the rating is a nation-wide Russian project that gives a general impression of function of major retail companies all over the country and showing the dynamics of the industry developing.
In average, information about more than 12,000 retail companies is processed. Final outcomes of the rating are published before The Retail in Russia Summit; a ceremony is held to award best retail companies in various nominations.

Largest small-scale retailer in Russia – METRO Cash&Carry

Largest discount chain in Russia – MAGNIT
Largest low cost supermarket retailer in the Republic of Tatarstan – PYATYOROCKA (Ak Bars Torg)
Fast-growing franchise chain in the Siberian region – PYATYOROCKA (PARTNER-RETAIL JSC)
Largest regional store chain in Nizhniy Novgorod Region (RAYTSENTR)
Breakthrough of the year – the largest chain of the North-Western federal Administrative District, VESTER, entering the national and international market.
